Adults inhabit silty lagoons and harbors. Monogamous. A protandrous hermaphrodite. Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding. Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate. Males guard and aerate the eggs. Associated with the anemones: Heteractis crispa and Stichodactyla haddoni.
